Abilities Registration

METAMORPHMAGUS
- Can change their appearance at will. Can look like a completely different person, or just change one aspect of their looks.
- Physical changes are affected by strong emotion, and can become unable to use if emotionally depressed.
- Can only be born with, not learned.
- Can be inherited.

PARSELMOUTHS
- Have the ability to talk to snakes.

ANIMAGI
- Can only turn into one animal.
- Becoming an Animagus is a very advanced form of transfiguration and it takes many years to become one.
- All Animagi, by law, are required to register with the Ministry of Magic.

VEELA
- Are exceptionally beautiful and cause all members of the opposite sex to attempt to impress them.
- The Veela of the UK and western Europe have silvery hair, although any Veela from Asia or Africa would have darker hair.
- When angered a Full Veela turns into a creature with bird heads, scaly wings burst from their shoulders, and they can launch fireballs from their hands.
- Half-Veela don't have as much charm, but have more control over when their power is exerted. Quarter-Veela have even less Veela characteristics.

OCCLUMENS
- Can block out Legilimens from reading their thoughts. It is quite hard to become an Occlumens and takes a few years of practice.

LEGILIMENS
- Can read the minds of others. This power also takes quite a few years to perfect. However, they cannot read the minds of skilled Occlumens.

SEERS
- A Seer is a gifted wizard or witch who has the ability to see into the future with their Inner Eye.
- Seers predict prophecies, which are then recorded and stored in the Hall of Prophecy in the Ministry of Magic's Department of Mysteries.

How you came to have this ability: Born with this ability, thanks to possibly some ancestor who had also had it, it was thought that Christy had inherited some form of seeing from her Whittle side of the family. At the age of three, Christy began seeing small things, such as spills that would happen, or her father having a bad day before the day had even begun. Once they had figured out that she had seer abilities, Christabelle’s mother immediately arranged for someone to come into their home and begin instructing Christy on how to hone her ability, while also instilling in her a love of divination. This continued up until she had begun to attend Beauxbatons, which at that point her lessons continued with the divination instructor there. Everything that she had actually prophesized had to be carefully recorded, not only kept on file for the Ministry in France, but the one in Germany as well. Before she had even had the chance to attend Hogwarts, the British Ministry had heard of her abilities and had sent to make sure that she was being properly trained and everything was being properly recorded. When they had told her that she would have to give her prophecies to the Ministry’s Department of Mysteries in Britain, her father interviened and reminded the British Ministry that as his daughter she was not required to report things to the British Ministry, not only because she was not a citizen, but the fact that she was a diplomat’s daughter and only required to report to her own country. Once shown that she had been following what was required, the British Ministry relented until she married a British wizard and took her job at Hogwarts.

Reason for learning: Learning to control what is believed, but not proven to be an inherited ability.

Ability: Parseltongue
How you came to have this ability: inherited, from great-grandmother on father's side of the family. Was completely unknown that she had this ability until shortly after her ninth birthday, following her older sister Maria's death, when she and her remaining siblings and her then friend Tyler went into a pet store and she saw the snake that would soon become her own, finding out similar to Harry Potter that she could understand what the snake was saying. Over the years that she had Ali Baba, she would have conversations with him, seeming strange at first and getting a lot of angry looks from the snake, until she could speak the language fairly fluently with little effort.

Reason for learning: So she could communicate with her pet ball python Ali Baba.

How you came to have this ability:  Sophia was born a Half Veela seeing how her mother is still Veela Sophia was born as a Half Veela.

Ability: Metamorphagus
How you came to have this ability: Sophia was born being a half Metamorphagus,  she inherited it from her father's Granger side of the family.   When Sophia was born,  Sophia was born with silvery blond hair like her mother had as well. At the age of five Sophia's hair turned red in her muggle private school due a boy picking on her and pushing her down.  Due to this odd ability Sophia had,  she was sent home and told not to come back until she stopped messing around.  Upset crying Sophia told her parents she did nothing wrong but get angry at the boy for pushing her and her hair and eyes might of turned red as her teacher says.   For a few days her parents watched Sophia's behavior and noticed that her hair and eyes changed colors,  after talking it over they told Sophia that she was a Metamorphagus.   Confused at first she asked her father what it was,  showing it to her Sophia learned she had the ability to change her appearance at will.  
Years of Practice: 5 years old,  her father taught her,  but like every Metamorphagus, she can't control her emotions at times.

Ability: Animagus - white mouse, bright blue eyes.
How you came to have this ability: Learned about it in third year, began practicing immediately.
Years of Practice: One so far- still in training, as the legal age is 17. Will register the day she comes of age.
Reason for learning: She loves transfiguration types of magic with a passion, and sees it as personal challenge.
